SETTINGS

Start a conversation.

Use iPhone Safari for speech recognition. Your browser sends translation requests directly to OpenRouter with your own API key.

Advanced settings

This limits a provider's output token rate, not the total cost of a request. Your model may not support every effort level.

HOW TO USE

Talk across the table.

Open this site in iPhone Safari over HTTPS. Allow microphone and speech recognition access when asked. Tap the microphone on your side, speak a short phrase, then tap again to stop. You can always use Type if speech recognition is unavailable.

Get an OpenRouter API key

  1. Create an OpenRouter account or sign in.
  2. Add credits on the Credits page to use paid models.
  3. On the API Keys page, create a key, optionally set a spending limit, and copy it. Never share it or include it in screenshots.
  4. If you added Duozuo to your Home Screen, open it from its icon and paste the key into Settings there. Otherwise, use Settings in this Safari tab.

If you enable Remember, this web app saves the key in unencrypted storage on this device. Otherwise it stays in memory until the page closes. Each translation sends the key and text directly to OpenRouter; Duozuo has no server that stores them.

Add to your iPhone Home Screen

  1. Open this site in Safari on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Share. Depending on your Safari layout, tap More first.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, choose Edit Actions to add it.
  4. Turn on Open as Web App, then tap Add. Launch the icon from your Home Screen.

Speech recognition may vary in the Home Screen app. Safari tabs and Home Screen web apps have separate storage, so enter your key in the app you use.

Speech recognition may use Apple's service and may not work for every listed language on every device. Check important translations before relying on them.
